Description
Several affected users report that the connector that links Access with Salesforce CRM no longer works. Error message: "ODBC Connection to Salesforce Failed"
According to the reports, all current builds since the updates on July 9 are affected:
Current Channel
works: Version 2406 (17726.20126) from June 26
fails: Version 2406 (17726.20160) from July 9
fails: Version 2407 (17830.20138) from August 1
Monthly Enterprise Channel
works: Version 2404 (17531.20190) from June 11
fails: Version 2405 (17628.20188) from July 9
Status
Microsoft released a fix for this problem in the Current Channel on Patch Tuesday, Sep 10. The update is version 2408 build 17928.20156.
If you do not receive it automatically, you can retrieve it by choosing File – Account – Update Options – Update Now. We have seen a few reports that the fix resolves the problem.
Patches for the LTSC versions should be available at a bit later date. Details to follow.
Workaround
You can try to revert to an older, working build.
